We have a large air conditioned home with a fully fenced and secure backyard. We are a short stroll away from a large fully fenced dog park that has a separate small and large dog enclosure and a large off leash play area.&nbsp;
We believe pets are part of the family and whilst your dog will have access to our big secure and shady back yard you can rest assured that we love to have them inside with us both during the day and especially at night!
I can assure you that my home offers a safe and loving vacation for your pampered pooch whilst you are away; daily, short term or long term pet sitting options available. House trained a must.&nbsp;
We have a small fully fenced secure Cat play area adjoining our house as well so any feline guests will have a safe outside area to sunbath in or have some peace and quiet to chill in private.

Ive since fostered 3 and had many in transit before they found their forever homes. I traveled to NZ on 2020 and stayed for 4 years sharing houses with pets. Me and my partner decided to start looking for new horizons and arrived in Australia on February 2024.

Hello! My friends and family all know me as being a massive dog lover. Unfortunately I'm not able to own one myself yet, so can only be the best Aunty to other people's fur babies - caring for them like they were my own. I have a Cert II in Animal Studies, with some hand on placement with the RSPCA, so have some basic knowledge on Pet First Aid and dog behaviour.

I am an experienced international house sitter and started in 2015 whereby over 50 house sits have been completed in the US, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, all with 5-Star Reviews (computer date-stamped screenshots can be sent).
I am big on cats and dogs, they both sense my affection for them and come over to me straight away. People are always a bit amazed because they say "my dog usually barks at strangers for days!" or the cat is straight on my lap and usually goes into hiding. I have a few tricks with animals that make them feel non-threatened and relaxed :)
Anyway, I'm big on exercise, running the 5km parkruns weekly on Saturdays at 7:00 am so am always happy to get more walking in. I go at the best pace your dog can manage and your dog will come back and want to sleep after all the excitement. I'm very gentle with dogs because I like to let them "read" the messages in the ground if they stop to do so, this is all part of tiring them out, in my opinion and providing them with a full experience.
I'm strong so any size dog is fine and I've walked up to 3 dogs before but could easily manage more.
I grew up with cats and dogs on a farm in Africa so am very familiar with animal behaviour and can sense when something strange might happen or if a situation is not looking good. If your dog or cat has any behavioural issues I'm pretty good at 'tactfully' making suggestions that remedy the issue.
I've found that a lot of cat owners don't realize that cats require their water bowls to be cleaned out and refilled every day with fresh water, not just topped up. So I have to squeeze this into the conversation too at some stage because I care about the welfare of animals as a priority even if the owners feel a bit offended - they still need to know :)
I'm available at short notice too because I work from home but am always looking for a useful distraction especially if it involves a bit of exercise.

My name is Marti. I have recently moved back to Australia after 8 years of living/studying/working in Auckland, New Zealand. I am currently working at a live music venue and absolutely love meeting the different walks of life that come through ( two and four leg varieties). I love animals and have grown up witb dogs and cats in our family household. I've always had an affinity with animals, and teaching/training/partnerships are things that come naturally to me. For the past 5+ years I have been pet/house sitting for a family friend and her elderly dog and cat. Both animals require daily medications, both oral and injection and close monitoring.
