My name is Nikita, I have owned dogs and cats my entire life and have owned birds for a large portion of my life. I have been doing pet/house sitting since 2020 and have many regular clients. I am based in the Canberra area but travel and location is not an issue, I will travel as far as Sydney and South Coast. I am comfortable looking after just about all pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, birds ect. I have worked at a vet for about 8 months, so I am confident with administering medication of all kinds and noticing if something is not quite right with your furry friend. I have assisted in birth and neonatal care of puppies since I was 14 years old. I am currently working at a dog kennel and cat flats and have been since 2018. I have experience and confidence with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, breed is not an issue.

I am currently only offering house/pet sitting at your house, dog walking, pet check ins once or twice a day and doggy outings. I do not have a limit of how long you will be requiring my service or a limit on number of pets. Before you book I would prefer to meet you and your pet/pets so we can make sure we all get along.

I have always loved animals, currently have two cats of my own after having a dog growing up, and have lots more love to give, which has drawn me to pet sitting. I am that person who remembers the pet's name before their owners, and that animals who need a bit of help or love tend to find everywhere I go (including while on holiday). 
My Experience: I have experience looking after rescued animals including fostering, and will respect your fur kids' boundaries and/or play with them according to what they like. Please note I do not administer medication. My personal experience is with cats, dogs, and birds, but I am happy to look after other animals.
Dog Walks: I enjoy keeping fit and will be very happy to walk your dog around the local parks and reserves and/or play fetch with them in your yard. My walks are 30 mins and because I work from home I can be flexible about the timing of these.
Home Visits: I understand how important it is to know that your furry family is safe and well when you have to go away, so I provide daily updates including photos to keep you informed and give you the comfort that they are being well cared for. Home visits are at least 30 minutes, during which I will feed and water your pet/s, groom them if required, and give them lots of love and playtime. I'm happy to collect mail, water indoor plants and take your bins in/out as well as needed. For your peace of mind I have a current police check.
If you are considering me to look after your pet/s I will first arrange a meet and greet with you and your pet/s to make sure we are a good fit for each other, and for you to explain your pets' particular needs. 
I offer dog walking and daily home visits (once or twice per day as needed), which is more comfortable and less stressful for your animals and mine. Please note that I only offer these services to Ainslie, Braddon, Campbell, Dickson, Downer, Hackett, Kaleen, Lyneham, O'Connor, Reid, Turner, and Watson.

I have great availability, a full drivers' license and car, Police Check, a certificate in Understanding Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Business, as well as a working with vulnerable people card, mental health training and DV training from my roles working with people with barriers and disabilities which is a great asset in understanding of needs of your pets and how who to act with compassion &amp; understanding while keeping calm as well as great problem solving skills in different situations, I have listed these so pet owners can have peace of mind, feel comfortable as in knowlage their pets will be safe, cared for and that I'm of a trustworthy nature.&nbsp;
I have grown up with animals all my life and as an adult appreciate the unconditional love they give and how they brighten your world. I have one beautiful cat (she is my fur baby) and have had other cats, dogs, birds, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs in the past as well as looking after livestock. I am also a nanna to my beautiful fur grandchildren x2 cats and dog. I have volunteered at wildlife sanctuaries in the past and found it very rewarding and had joy in doing so as well as looking after family and friends animals when needed.
