As a client of Pawshake, I am aware of what is expected of pet-sitters with regards to the specific needs of the pet, as well as regular communication and photo updates with its owner/pet parent to reduce any worry.
My motivation to become a petsitter is honestly to spend more time with beautiful animals. They make me so happy and relaxed, and caring for them makes me feel so fulfilled. I regularly donate to RSCPA to help support their work, so I decided I also wanted to give my time to help support others in caring for their pets too.
I have grown up with cats, guinea pigs, fish and mice, and had a dog as a child.
I'm happy to provide home visits for all kinds of pet care and dog-walking, and have experience ensuring pets are given any medication they need. I appreciate a clean home for a pet and am happy to do litter changes or anything else needed. I have owned dogs for over 15 years and a cat for 3 years so I have experience with both animals and understand the requirements of caring for both dogs and cats.
I mainly work from home so will be home with your pet for most of time unless I need to run to the office for a meeting for a short period.&nbsp;
I live in a house with a backyard that has plenty of room for dogs to play and run and copious amounts of dog toys to keep the dogs happy and content. Pets are welcomed inside the house so they sleep inside at nights unless you specifically prefer your pet to stay outdoors.  There is a nice walking trail and dog park nearby so plenty of options for walks and play time.&nbsp;
I don't believe in caging pets so the pets are free to roam as they please but I also believe in order so if your pet needs a bit of one on one training I am happy to spend some time going over basic training during the day so that your pet can come inside the house without chaos. I also offer basic grooming services (bath and blowdry) on request.&nbsp;

Hello! I am Pranami, a PhD scholar studying marine bacteria at ANU, Canberra. I have recently moved to Australia and I am experienced in taking care of kittens, puppies and older cats and dogs, of all sizes, big and small and also bunnies. I can give baths, trim nails, clean ears, if and when needed. I love teaching tricks to dogs, both indoor and outdoor and also love playing with them. I especially like playing seek with my dogs (I have 3, one German Shepherd and two Indian rescues), where they would be seeking me or any of their favorite toys. It's an easy indoor game to teach and dogs love it once they get the hang of it. As for cats, I know they love their "me-time" and I give them what they need. With my cats, they've always been cuddlers, so I usually would walk around or sit with them on my lap. One of my recent cats loved to show affection by play-biting. And that's pretty much all she would do when we hang out. I make some DIY string toys for them to play with and that keeps them occupied for most of the time. I can also give medicines to both dogs and cats.
I am experienced with pet sitting in different places around the world like California, Beijing, Bangalore, to name a few. I update my clients with photos/videos or calls if they prefer that, atleast twice a day. Pet sitting for me is more out of my ardent love of animals rather than just a job. Due to my flexible schedule, I am available any time of the day, all days a week to look after your furry friends while you are away. I am currently only offering house/pet sitting at your house, dog walking, pet check ins once or twice a day and doggy outings.
