I am so happy to provide a niche service for the highest peace of mind for owners who adore their dogs and want only the best, safe, and happy time for their dogs whilst they are away.&nbsp;I provide small care, so there will not be large numbers of dogs that can be stressful.&nbsp; If I have more than one dog in my care I carefully plan my bookings to ensure the dogs are compatible. I specialise in Oodles and small to medium breeds and understand their sensitivities. I provide a comforting daily routine for dogs so they can relax and enjoy their days with me. Many dog sitters don't include walks, but I do this as a standard, as all dogs need daily stimulation, exercise, and engagement in nature.&nbsp;&nbsp;In our home the dogs we care for are treated like family with free access to lounge on the couch or beds and explore and play inside or out.&nbsp;I have owned several dog breeds from large to small (Daschund, Hungarian Sheep dog's (Puli's) , Cattle dog/Belgian shepherd, kelpie/foxie, and now a Groodle.&nbsp;I have taken them all through obedience school to ensure a lifelong bond and better communication.&nbsp;I have volunteered at the Sydney dog shelter in the past, walking dogs awaiting their new forever home and have also fostered cared dogs from there to ease their stress. I was not very good at foster caring as my standards were a little high for new prospective fur parents - e.g will you let her on your couch?... minimum 2 walks a day?&nbsp;When your pup/s stay with me they will be part of the family, enjoying cuddles, play, and two walks a day. I provide daily updates to share their day with you. I am open, transparent, and flexible.&nbsp;Your dog will have human company throughout their stay with us. One of us is always home and I wfh part of the week. Your pup will be cared for 24/7.&nbsp;I pet sit as a hobby as my family and I love caring for dogs, enjoying a variety of breeds, and my girl loves company.&nbsp;My fur girl has a pampered life,&nbsp; enjoying varied adventures in nature. You can see many of our walks and adventures in my profile pictures.&nbsp;I look forward to a meet and greet with you and your pup on neutral territory (typically the Hall Showground as it is fully enclosed, &amp; off lead, and not a dog park), and if all goes well, caring for your fur baby.&nbsp;Rest assured I will care for yours, as I do mine. There will be always myself or an immediate family member at home. I also have an Advanced first aid and mental first aid certificate. I have tertiary leadership and management, project management, training and assessment qualifications and am fully police checked. I also have a WWVP card.&nbsp;Your dog should be fully vaccinated and well for their stay. I am experienced with administering medication.&nbsp;* boarding:&nbsp;- 2 walks a full day are included. Note to make the morning walk on arrival day, a drop off or pick up by approx 7am is required (weekends are typically more flexible).&nbsp;&nbsp;- As per PawShakes standard policy Pet hosting for 1 night includes up to 24 hours of care. If your pups stay goes over the 24 hours please book an additional day care session.* WALKS: Are for a minimum of 30 minutes and are typically conducted at Hall, Amaroo, or&nbsp; Harrison and can be off lead in the enclosed oval or on lead through the reserves and other ovals, trails and parks. Water is regularly provided.* Car travelling: Dogs are always secured in the car with a doggy seat belt attached to their harness (for safety, never their collar).&nbsp; I also have a doggy booster seat for smaller dogs and crate if your dog prefers travelling in a crate with a mattress.&nbsp;MEET &amp; GREETS: Are required for first time bookings. Please ensure you complete your dogs profile.At the meet and greet feel free to chat to me about your needs and any particulars about your fur baby.&nbsp;Our Place: We have a fully fenced yard with a grassed area, concrete area, tiled area, and undercover area with outdoor couches and raised bed and mattress. Indoors we have couches, several orthopaedic dog beds, and human beds. During meal times, dogs will be fed separately and fed from raised dog feeders. My name is Nikita, I have owned dogs and cats my entire life and have owned birds for a large portion of my life. I have been doing pet/house sitting since 2020 and have many regular clients. I am based in the Canberra area but travel and location is not an issue, I will travel as far as Sydney and South Coast. I am comfortable looking after just about all pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, birds ect. I have worked at a vet for about 8 months, so I am confident with administering medication of all kinds and noticing if something is not quite right with your furry friend. I have assisted in birth and neonatal care of puppies since I was 14 years old. I am currently working at a dog kennel and cat flats and have been since 2018. I have experience and confidence with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, breed is not an issue.

I am currently only offering house/pet sitting at your house, dog walking, pet check ins once or twice a day and doggy outings. I do not have a limit of how long you will be requiring my service or a limit on number of pets. Before you book I would prefer to meet you and your pet/pets so we can make sure we all get along.

I would love to take care of your "oodle" or other small dog. I am an absolute lover of dogs, have a 9 year old gentle cavoodle named Yoshi and can host your dog in my house (which has a fenced backyard) in Narrabundah.
ABOUT ME - I have had cavoodles in my life for about 16 years. I am currently off work and at home full time, every day. I am an active person and love animals, cooking and learning. I have experience taking care of different breeds of dogs with their own quirks and personalities.
ABOUT MY HOME - I live in a house with a fenced backyard and flat block in Narrabundah. My dog (and your dog) are allowed to roam the house freely which has vinyl flooring (makes for easy cleaning!) as well as carpeted areas.
UPDATES DURING YOUR DOG's STAY - you will receive regular updates during your dog's stay by text. We can also arrange Facetime calls if you wish (sometimes the little human) miss seeing their furpals!).
I only take care of one dog at any given time (two dogs in the home max. - mine and yours). I look forward to meeting your family dog and giving them a much deserved holiday while you are on yours.

I am an animal lover and enjoy caring for all pets, especially dogs. I will love your pet as though they were my own and give them an enjoyable time while you are away. I enjoy playing enrichment games or playing/training with toys and treats.
As an owner of a nervous and reactive kelpie, I have had extensive experience with caring for and training dogs with mental health issues. I feel particularly passionate about such animals as they deserve as much care and tenderness as any other 'easier' pet.
Pet sitting is the perfect way to have millions of pets without having to find space for them all in my own home! Were it possible I would have at least ten dogs I think.
My job is part time Tuesday-friday 8:30-4pm and I have the option to work from home. This makes me highly flexible and available to care for your pets when you are unable to do so. In every visit I will be sure to play with your pet to keep them mentally stimulated, give them lovely snuggles and just generally hang out with them so they feel like their family isn't so far away.

I'd rather stay stay at the owners home, as I live in a share house and I find that animals are more comfortable and stress-free when they are in a familiar environment, especially when their favourite humans are away!
I currently play in the Capital Futsal League so have training on Wednesday night and play two matches each weekend, either Friday nights, Saturday or Sunday. I also play summer 9's at ANU on Monday nights and summer 6'S in Wanniassa on Thursday night. I also have preseason for my National Premier League season on Monday nights and every second Sunday morning in Kambah.
