I offer home visits, dog walks and home-sits.
I’m an animal lover, I grew up with 3 dogs, but am not settled down enough to have my own yet. So I love being a pet aunt and have been pet sitting for around 5 years. I’m experienced with older and sick pets, and have done vet visits and medication, as well as young boisterous pups who need more walks and stimulation. I love a pet snuggle! But equally if yours is a little more independent or timid, I’ll respect the warming up process :)
To me, a home is a haven, so I’m super clean and tidy, and will treat your home with the utmost respect!
HOME VISITS AND DOG WALKING:
My availability is generally early morning and nights after work. I can feed your pet, walk dogs (half an hour to 45 mins usually), get the mail in, water plants and any other tasks that might be required. I am experienced in administering medication, with the exception of delivering injections.
I will generally stay an hour depending on what you require. I'll only accept drop in's for the suburb I'm in.
Dog walks are anywhere from 25-45 minutes depending on the needs or limitations of the dog. I'll always act as advised, so if you have a park you would normally take them to or if they like a particular circuit, that's where I'll go. I'm very cautious of off-lead areas until I'm very familiar with your dog, and they're familiar with me. 
HOME SITTING:
I prioritize longer pet sits, as it allows us to be in more of a routine, but am happy to consider shorter sits, especially with repeat clients (and I always love caring for pet friends again - nothing makes me happier than when your dog races to see me or cat comes over for head scratches when they recognise me!)
I'm unable to take live-in sits that are further than 30 mins from the city, and generally only service the eastern, north east and south east suburbs. Any further out and my travel gets too crazy.
I work from home part time in admin, and take casual retail and promo shifts, so while there may be days I'm away 8-9 hours, it's usual that it's only 4-5 hours at a time. I keep a routine of being able to walk dogs in the morning and at night. And feed on a morning/night schedule also. On long term sits, I'll make sure to wash dogs as required. I am experienced in administering medication, with the exception of delivering injections.
I'll of course keep the house immaculate, and water plants, collect mail and tend to all the household things that come up.
I don't invite friends around, if possible I'll park in the driveway for the visual cue that people are home, and I have a strong system for locking up as I leave. Your house security is of utmost importance!
I’m part of a network of Melbourne pet sitters, so if anything comes up that I’m unsure about, there is always support from others with experience. I’ll send you lots of pics while you’re away, as I know you’ll be missing your fur children, and send lots of updates!

In the past I have participated in training and trials with my dogs but these days my focus has definitely shilfted to rescue and petcare.&nbsp;
He came from a questionable home and was incredibly squikkish. 5 years on he is the most amazing companion. I have beend dog walking (30 minutes to 2 hours/walk) and providing short and long term pet visits (1 or 2 visits per day) for a variety of pets whose people are at work or on extended holidays for the past 3 years. Not just dogs and cats, but birds, rodents, reptiles, etc and even the occassional horse as I enjoy looking after different animals. Drop in visits are generally 30 minutes unless a walk is also required. I will come and play, walk and give love and attention to your pets to ensure they enjoy your time away as much as you do. Of course I will attend to their cleaning, feeding and anything else that may be required (eg medications, plants, mail, bins, etc) I usually send a picture and small message every 2 days however, if you prefer daily updates just let me know.&nbsp;
Hence, I only walk 1 dog at atime or more if they come from the same home or are best buds and spend time together usually. I am fit and usually walk in excess of 10kmdaily for my own pleasure so whatever your dog needs in terms of pace I am able to provide. I will always communicate with you if this occurs.&nbsp;

I am an avid pet lover. I have looked after many dogs/cats. I have experience with foster animals (three years) as well as working in a cattery and as a vet nurse for 18 months. I have a certificate III in Animal Care as well as certifications in animal CPR.&nbsp;

My husband and I simply adore dogs.  We spent a large part of our lives (until 25 years old thereabouts) owning and caring for different dogs (e.g. dalmatian, daschund, pekingnese, great dane, spitz!).  Every time our beloved pet leaves us, it leaves a gaping hole in our hearts (thinking of it makes me all sad now).  Decided not to keep any more dogs as we could not bear the pain in losing them.  That did not mean we do not like to care and play with other people's dogs - every time a relative or friend goes on holiday, we are the first to volunteer (actually insist) of taking care of their dogs!&nbsp;&nbsp;
We live in a 730 sqm single storey home with a large, secured (gated) back and front manicured lawn in suburban (i.e. no wild animals, wild vegetation etc) Scoresby, VIC for your pet to roam and discover.  We are able to accommodate your pet within our home/bedrooms.     We have two teenage boys (i.e. 15 and 16 years old) who also adore dogs and they do come in handy in attending to your pet (e.g. showering attention, cleaning and walking etc).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
I am mostly at home 24x7 (my husband would say I am the luckiest wife) and will be able to accord much attention on your pet.  I am also available in most days to attend to yr pet at your place - say within 35 kms from Scoresby.&nbsp;&nbsp;
You would expect nothing less in terms of care and attention for yr beloved family member.  We promise to keep your pet properly fed, groomed and pampered whilst you are away - just like how we would treat a real family member (or a child!).  Also, we will keep you constantly posted via whatsapp or internet CCTV on how well they are doing.  The most important thing is, we will try our best to keep your pet happy and not to miss you too much. (We can take yr dog for car-rides if that is its thingy!).
We are also tri-lingual.  Other than English, we speak/write fluent Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese) and Indonesian/Malay - more language options for owners (and dogs) speaking a different language I guess.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
We believe in clicking with your pet before taking him/her - and as such, a "pre-meeting" is necesary (not charging for this).  We want you and your pet to be confident and at ease with us.   Leaving your pet (or baby) with someone is arguably the most distressing thing a loving owner would have to contend with - and we know cause we have been through this.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
We want to shower all our attention on your pet and thus likely not be able to take more than 1 dog at the same time (unless the dogs are acquainted).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Having been through this myself I know how uncomfortable and dangerous it can be to have a dog that pulls you along. This is what got me into dog training. My first dog, at 6 months old, was the size of a small horse. I realised that "google" training just wasn't cutting it and dedicated 2 years to his obedience.&nbsp;Currently I am available on Mondays and Tuesdays to walk and train local dogs.I'm very safety conscious and hyper aware of other dogs. I did a lot of specialised training with rescue dogs that were unsociable and aggressive also. The course trained us in dogs pre aggression tells, that is the signs that dogs can display prior to an attack. This can include; tail wagging, panting, eyes darting, locking of lips, a change in gait, posture changes etc.Your dog will be safe with me and that's the most important thing when you are entrusting your dog with someone else.I also want to make my services affordable. It breaks my heart to hear of the dog shelters getting full of dogs now everyone is back at work.Personally I have 3 rescue dogs who have brought much joy, fun and laughter into my life.

Hi, my name is Jade Appleby and here's a little about myself, I am a current university student studying veterinary nursing. I am looking to build my skills and connection to the animal community by starting from the beginning, which sparks my desire to start pet sitting. I have had animals all my life from dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, budges, and lambs. I have always had a passion for animals since I was little and have wanted to pursue this passion in my career hence why I am studying at Melbourne Polytechnics to achieve a bachelor of veterinary nursing. Besides my current study, I have achieved a cert II in animal care throughout my high school education.
I would like to consider myself knowledgeable when it comes to looking after animals as my family has had some history of pet sitting under our roof, which I would help with, like feeding, cleaning, and exercising. I am willing and happy to take any kind of pet into my house and adjust my schedule to fit that of the pets to enhance their comfort in a new environment as the pet's well-being and mental state is just as important as their physical care while being looked after by a pet sitter.&nbsp;I am able to walk, groom and socialise your pets as well as administer medications if needed.
