About Judy

Gender: FemaleYear of birth: 2011
Judy is a feisty Jack Russell even though she is in her later adult years. She has a few health issues and a few obsessive behaviours, but is most comfortable at home. A few years ago she had to have both eyes operated on due to eye ulcers which developed because of undiagnosed dry eye syndrome. One of the grafts didn't take and she lost that eye. She has limited vision in her remaining eye but gets around ok. She requires eye ointment to be applied to her eye with a cotton swab twice a day to keep it moist.
This vision deficiency has contribute to Judy's anxiety and obsessive behaviours becoming worse, mainly licking. She currently wears an Elizabethan collar to prevent her licking her back legs, which she will do whenever she gains access to them. She is also on medication for urinary incontinence and anxiety. We are currently in the process of weening her off her anxiety medication. We also use hempseed and chia oil on her food to reduce inflammation and improve her mood.
