Jaspa is a rescue, he does have some anxiety at times and can be a little rascal and a little reactive.
He is friendly with other dogs that he has met before, but he can come across slightly antisocial with a deep bark
He is friendly towards most people but doesn't like anyone wearing a hat 🥴
He's a loveable boy with a couple of little issues
Jaspa has always been super friendly with any cat we have had or ever looked after. Plays very well with our girl Cali.
Toileting: If given the opportunity to he might do a little naughty on the floor. Never on the couch or someone's leg, but usually on the floor or the leg of a table. (Same with his brother Leo). It's more because they're given the opportunity to do so. I tend to keep a good eye on them - allow plenty of outside breaks and keep an eye on them.
Chasing / rushing: Jaspa can lunge at other dogs on walks - we try to avoid this by avoiding other dogs by walking at quieter times of the day or crossing the road when we see an oncoming dog. We also hold the leash a little tighter and say no in a stern yet calm manner if Jaspa tries to lunge at another dog. (It's not aggressive or violent - however jaspa has a very deep bark that can be perceived as aggressive to other dog owners).
Jumping up: Only when you come home from work and he wants a cuddle. Otherwise he's really well behaved.
1st walk: No specific time for walks with Jaspa - we take him as we can and don't have a set time!
The boys are outside dogs of a day time when no one is home. When people are home the dogs are allowed inside but surpervised otherwise they get up to some mischief (such as indoor accidents). The boys LOVE playing outside during the day and occasionally at night when the neighbouring possum is out on the fence.
