Hi, I'm Mei - an avid animal lover with lots of experience taking care of dogs, cats, and other small pets. I'm originally from the UK and moved permanently to Melbourne earlier this year.

I live with my husband in Airport West with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and only a 10 minute walk from a dog-friendly reserve. We have a 10 year old rescue dog called Mia, who is a very small border collie / terrier cross, with a calm and gentle demeanour, and is friendly with other dogs.

We are both experienced pet owners, having both had dogs and cats, as well as small animals like hamsters, and at one point an African pygmy hedgehog! In the UK we would regularly dog-sit for friends, family and colleagues, and just before coming to Melbourne, we did some house-sitting whilst travelling in New Zealand, taking care of all animals including dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and fish!

I also used to volunteer weekly at a cat rescue centre helping to feed, clean and socialise rescued cats and kittens.

What I offer

I treat every pet like my own and will give them all the love and attention they deserve. Whether you’re away on holiday, at work, or simply need a helping hand, I'll make sure your fur babies feel safe, happy, and well-cared for! This includes regular feeding, fresh water, cosy beds and blankets, playtime and walks. I’m also happy to carry out routine grooming and administer any medication required.

I offer dog walks, doggy daycare, dog boarding and home visits for dogs, cats or small animals, and am happy to fit my schedule around your pet’s needs.

• Dog walking: I can walk up to 2 dogs at a time and the duration of walks can be tailored to your dog(s) requirements. I would usually take them out between 30 minutes to 1 hour, and can offer 1 or 2 walks a day.
• Doggy daycare/ boarding: As we have our own dog, I limit daycare and boarding to 1 dog at a time to ensure that they get the best care and attention.
• Home visits: I’m happy to pop in 1 or 2 times a day for 30 minutes to feed, play or spend time with your fur babies. This includes dogs, cats and any other small animals you want checking in on.

I’m happy to look after nervous and anxious pets, and will spend time getting to know them, making them comfortable, and giving them all the time and space they need to settle.

Time spent with your pet

We're both at home full-time so there is always someone at home when your pet comes to stay with us and they will never be left alone in the house. We will spend time throughout the day playing and walking your dog, but also happy for them to just chill and have a nap on the bed of their choosing!

Environment

We live in a house with a fully-fenced/gated outdoor area to ensure your pet’s safety. We maintain a clean and pet-safe living environment and your dogs are free to wander around the house as they please - whether that's having a run around outside, or curling up on the sofa or one of our cosy beds inside.

Our dog Mia is calm and friendly with other dogs and will happily play with them or give them space. She is fully-vaccinated and has regular flea/ worm treatments. We're more than happy for you to come round for a meet and greet beforehand.
