About Me
***NOT BOARDING DOGS AT THIS TIME. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCES!***
Hi! My name is Michelle and I'm a freelance writer living in the Inner West. I decided to take up pet sitting for a couple of reasons ...
1) I love animals. My alternative career choice was becoming a vet, but ultimately the Arts won out. Growing up, my parents only allowed small pets like guinea pigs and fish, so as an adult I've loved owning a cat the past 8 years, and cat sitting and dog sitting for others. I'd love to get another cat or a dog myself, but cost is a major factor for me at this point in my life, so pet sitting it is for now.
2) Bean is a solo cat who is extremely curious and loves socialising. I noticed when I started using Pawshake a couple of years ago that Bean would become very sad leaving houses where there were other cats, so now I'm on a mission to introduce him to some new friends while also helping out fellow pet owners :)
Pet Sitting Services
- Home visits - I have a car and can easily get to your home to visit your cat once or twice a day. I'll spend a minimum of 30-minutes with them per visit for feeding, litter cleaning, and playtime, and send you plenty of photos, videos and updates on how they're going.
- Boarding - I live in a large, single-storey house so there will be plenty of space for your cat(s) to roam and play. If you'd prefer they don't socialise with my cat, no worries - I have a spare room in which your cat can board.
Extras
- I can administer topical and oral medications if required. (My cat Bean has anxiety that requires daily medication.)
- I have a Feliway diffuser plugged in to keep the mood relaxed.
- There are two cat towers, scratchers, cat grass, catnip, and many, MANY wand toys and balls for your cats to play with! Bean will also be around to provide company :)
- I work from home so your cat will never be alone unless I'm popping out for errands.
Health and Safety
- My cat Bean is desexed, has dormant cat flu and is up to date with all flea treatments and vaccinations. Please ensure your cat is up to date with their flea treatments and vaccinations prior to boarding.
- There is a 24/7 emergency vet two suburbs away where I can bring your cat if necessary.
- The maximum number of cats boarding in my home at any time will be 3 (including my own cat).
- My partner and I are both fully vaccinated against COVID.
Please feel free to message me and we can organise a meet and greet. You're also welcome to come see where your cat will be boarding beforehand to see if it's a suitable space.
