Hi, my name is Kirstie and I have been working full time as a petsitter. I specialise in going to the client's home and caring for their pet, day and night. Unfortunately I am unable to board animals at my home, so please note this when booking my services.
I have been a volunteer at Seeing Eye Dogs Australia for 6 years in that time I was working within the kennels and the puppy training centre. Some of my duties included grooming and washing puppies, making meals and feeding, walking and cleaning up after them.
I have also completed my Certificate 2 and 3 in Animal Studies. I am a huge animal lover! And a huge believer that animals are the best therapy and i love being around animals. I promise you that I will love and care for your pets as if they are my own!
I specialise in offering day pet sitting, and overnight sitting at your home. I am also available for one-off or regular house visits where I can feed your pet and keep them company. This is suitable for office workers or those working long hours and think that their pet may need some company.
Please immediately let me know if your pet has any allergies or other medical conditions at the meet and greet. This is very important!
My services include providing your pet with a lot of love, playing with them, going for a short walk in your neighbourhood (if required), making sure they go to the toilet and that they have plenty of food and water. I will also bring pet treats for your pets.
House visits will involve these services, as will overnight stays. I will ensure your pet doesn't feel lonely during overnight stays!
I am flexible with time, so please let me know in your inquiry how many nights you're looking for. Please note that an extra fee applies for more than 2 pets.

About me:
I'm 22 years old and I am in my 5th year of studying a bachelor of Law and Arts. I also work as the Quality Manager for a private RTO called 4 Up Skilling where I work from home one day a week. I regularly compete in showjumping on the weekends and have 5 competition warmblood horses of my own. I grew up on a family sheep and cattle farm 2 hours north of Melbourne. We had a range of different pets: cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and dogs (including Kelpies, Labradors and Whippets). I own two whippets called Lilly and Hector who live with me in Melbourne. I love animals and thought pet sitting would be a fantastic job to help me through my final years at uni doing what I love. 

Experience: 
My mum was a vet nurse and growing up I volunteered at the vet clinic where she worked in Avenel, Vic. This included helping administer medications, cleaning pet beds, feeding and watering the animals, and walking/exercising the dogs. I also have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs as I owned these pets growing up, which taught me early on of the responsibility of owning an animal. As mentioned above I also have spent the first 20 years of my life on a farm and have experience in managing a range of different animals. I have also dog sat two of my friends dogs before on the days that I have worked from home, Kevin the Labrador and Margot the Labradoodle. 

Services: 
I offer dog walking and home visit services in the Maidstone, Footscray, Ascot Vale, Maribyrnong, and Sunshine areas. I can come to you, or you can drop off your pet to be walked around Maidstone.&nbsp;I am 10 minutes walk away from the Maribyrnong river and offer walk my two whippets along there. There is also an off leash dog park near me where I could walk your dog. I can walk your dog for between 30-40 minutes depending on what they need. For home visits, I would be there for 30-40 minutes and can water and feed you pet, let it outside to toilet, or spend time playing with them. I can also walk your dog as an add on. I will be offering these services on a Monday and Wednesday most weeks, the times will differ to work around my university schedule. I may also offer in the future a daycare service on Tuesdays as I work from home. I may only be out of the house for 30 minutes at a time to run errands. I have a fully fenced back years with grass the services my two dogs wonderfully. The inside of the house is tidy, with little for your dogs to chew or get into. Please keep in mind that your dog would have to be friendly with my two whippets, mine are a year old and two years old and are good with other dogs, but keep in mind their size and the fact they can be high energy at times. I live in a spacious 3 bedroom home, neat with plenty of space to run around (escape proof) nothing is of limits they are welcome to explore the entire house and sleep where they feel most comfortable. Your fur child will sleep indoors.
We love daily walks with the maribrynong river being just around the corner. Being an accountant I work from home 4 days a week however Mondays will require some flexibility around pick up and drop offs.
I feel isolated at home myself and hence pet sitting is mutually beneficial for me and your fur child. We love doggies that are gentle, on the quieter side and affectionate. I have previously had great experience on other pet sitting sites so know how hard it can be to leave your furchild. Our home is clutter free, cords and wires safely out of reach.&nbsp;I love taking photos and you can expect Atleast 5-10 photos a day so that way you don't miss out on the fun we are having. 
I have cared for both young and matured aged dogs that require that extra attention to detail. We keep a close eye on eating drinking and toileting to ensure that your fur child is adjusting to their new environment. Tail wagging is also a sign that we are on the look out for to make sure that your pet is in a happy and relaxed state. I am also comfortable administering oral and topical medication as well as bathing.&nbsp;
