Hi there! Let me introduce myself! My name is Maria and I am a 27 year old children's nurse from Ireland. And I am probably one of the biggest dog lovers there is out there! I'm that type of person who will always say hello to dogs on the street or take any chance I can get to give a pooch a big cuddle or a rub! (I'm a pro belly rub giver) I am literally obsessed and think dogs are honestly one of the greatest things to exist on this planet - they just have so much love to give and are so kind, gentle and obedient. Honestly what's not to love???
I have just moved over to Sydney in the last few months and am very keen to start dog sitting/walking. I have moved from London where I regularly minded dogs on an app called Borrow my doggy which is a very similar platform to this. I really enjoyed it and got to make some great doggy friends from it. I got so much joy from it and so did the animals so it was really a win win. I met some very lovely people and I felt so privileged to get the chance to care for their beloved pets as if they were my own. It was pretty hard saying goodbye to them when I left London but hopefully through this app that void will soon be filled.
I have always had dogs in my life ever since I was little. My first dog was a Golden Retriever named Casper and he was my childhood best friend. I adored him. We got him when I was 1 years old and he died when I was 17 - he was honestly like a brother and we did everything together! I still have 2 dogs at my family home in Ireland who I already miss heaps. Both labradors, Bella and Mango, who are the lights of my life. If I could have brought them over with me, they'd most definitely be here. I have worked in a vets before too helping out as an assistant in the back and I've also volunteered for an animal rescue centre back home in Ireland. So I've got loads of experience with all different kinds of dogs both little and large!
I do shift work and so have irregular working hours and can often be around during the day midweek if you needed someone to walk your dog or just spend time with them while you work. But I can also be available at the weekends too. My shifts change from week to week but there's not really specifically a day or time I can't do! I would love the chance to have some cuddles and walkies with your pooch if you'll allow. I would treat them just as I would my own pet with lots of love and affection. I promise they will be in very good hands and I don't doubt that we will create a lovely bond together. I'm very open to meeting up first so you can get a sense of what I am like and if you think it would be a good match. I really look forward to hearing from you and hopefully it will be the perfect fit for you and your doggy. Feel free to ask any questions!

I dropped my puppy off with Maria to watch on a Friday and she was so lovely. I was super nervous about leaving my new puppy with someone, but Maria was so kind, patient, and reassuring. My puppy was calm and happy when I picked her up :)
