Let me tell you about my experience with animals! First up is my playful parrot, who greets me with a symphony of chirps every morning. With its vibrant feathers and charismatic personality, this feathered friend never fails to make me smile. And let's not forget about my four-legged companion, a loyal and energetic dog who always keeps me on my toes during our daily walks.

As a pet owner, I know pets are family. I moved from my home to Brisbane, and leaving my babies was the toughest part. I miss walking Buffy and hearing her snore at night. Splash, my parrot, calls out my name every day when I get home and hangs out on my shoulder. He would also stroll up to my bedroom door, knock on it, and say hi, to be with me. The newest addition to my family is my goldfish, Iggy. Not being surrounded by animals is hard, so he has also filled a place in my heart.

But my animal experiences go beyond the confines of my cosy abode. I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a thrilling journey at the renowned Australian Zoo. As part of a work experience programme, I immersed myself in the captivating world of exotic creatures. From cuddly koalas to slithering snakes, I got to witness the wonders of wildlife up close and personal. This invaluable experience allowed me to understand the intricacies of animal behaviour and welfare, making me well-equipped to handle any situation that may arise. It was a dream to be surrounded by such diverse species and contribute to their care.

As if that wasn't enough, I also had the privilege of being a member of the Ocean Youth Programme. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity took me on a marine adventure like no other. Picture this: standing on a boat off of the East Australian Current, I was fortunate enough to release these turtles. It was an awe-inspiring sight, releasing these resilient little hatchlings into the great blue, knowing they were beginning their incredible journey of survival.

From my parrot's enchanting melodies to my dog's boundless energy and the thrilling experiences at Australia Zoo and the Ocean Youth Programme. Animals capture our hearts and remind us of the beauty and diversity that exist in the world. Through these incredible encounters, I've forged unforgettable memories and developed a deep appreciation for the precious creatures that share our planet. I've also learned so much about caring for animal needs and creating a safe environment for them. Let's take your pets on a tail-wagging, chirping, and fin-fluttering adventure!
