Hi, I'm Anne (Auntie Anne to some of my regulars) originally from the UK, I have been in Australia since arriving on Christmas Day 2009 along with my husband, son & our family dog.

I've grown up in a home that has always had pets - cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters (not always at the same time but never without one or another).

In January 2016, when we had to say 'goodbye' to our adorable dog & best friend (a cocker spaniel), I found walking without her too lonely, so I joined Pawshake in early 2017, in the hope of enjoying walks again with a variety of dogs in need of companionship and exercise. This has proved immensely rewarding for me and I consider myself lucky to have found such a wonderful way of helping others as well as myself.

I currently have 2 cats (a gentle, shy ragdoll and a mischievous, loving burmese) and if you have a cat/cats that need companionship, play and cuddles while you are out at work or on holiday, or maybe you want to go out for a day and need help with feeding & litter trays cleaning, perhaps, due to your own incapacity, you just need a little extra help with your furry friend - whatever the reason, I would love to hear from you - I can never have too many cat cuddles!

Working part time as a pharmacy assistant allows me to be fairly flexible with my availability, as well as having a good understanding of health.

I believe that animals offer unconditional love and in return deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. 

I have time, and lots of patience & love to offer.

Throughout my years of being a 'Pawshaker', I have become very close to some of my 4-legged friends, particularly those on repeat bookings, and have also sadly grieved with one or two owners when their own little fur babies have passed away. They're like extended family members and I've loved them as if they were my own.

In late 2022 I finally felt ready to have another dog after losing my girl in 2016, which started my experience with Pawshake. However, I love this work so much that there is no way I'm giving it up now.
