I have been on Pawshake, housesitting and providing visiting pet care and dog walking since 2018.
I usually stick to Tuggeranong so that I can visit my regulars
I was already an experienced pet carer. I love animals and have looked after all sorts - snuggly cats, aloof cats, big dogs, little dogs, chooks, ducks, peacocks, birds, cute bunnies, demon bunnies, frogs, fish, turtles and even llamas, an axolotl, joeys and wombats.
I started pet sitting when we spent 4 years traveling around housesitting and camping, 2007-10. Notching up about 13 housesits. 2010-2017 we lived in Qld and I housesat a couple of times a year, (probably another 12 housesits) when we came back to Canberra to visit family, including a repeat job every Christmas with a menagerie.
I moved back to Canberra at the beginning of 2018 and housesit in between staying with family and have provided lots of visiting pet care through PawShake and other advertising spaces. I have been accumulating quite a few happy repeat clients.
I love looking after people's pets so that they can have a get away with confidence, knowing their loved ones are cared for.
I treat your house and your possessions with respect.
I am 62 and
I work from home - online doing Graphic Design and Social Media, Digital campaigning so if I am housesitting I can spend plenty of time with your pet - in between visiting other pets.

animals were well taken care of
It’s a big decision to leave your furry family in the care of a stranger. We met Cate before we committed. Cate was a great communicator and we knew what was going on in our 3 week absence. All went well and we would ask Cate to take care of our pets if the need arose in the future.
