I have my police clearance and all of my DHS checks available for that extra bit of security!. All you need do is ask and I'd be more than happy to show them.

Domestic pet experience

My experience with cats, dogs and birds started when I was young as I've always had pets since I was a toddler. Most of my life I've been a cat owner, only having owned one dog and one bird.

My professional experience with cats, dogs and birds extends to having gained my certificate 2 in animal studies in which I became a qualified vet nurse assistant. I have also worked in a boarding kennel as an animal attendant. I've gained experience with all manner of dog and cat breeds from moggies to purebred from chihuahuas to Rottweilers (while working at the kennel I even took care of a police K9 so not much fazes me).

Whilst working and gaining my qualifications I learnt to help restrain animals safety for the vet, to give oral and topical medications and how to do basic health checks on all domestic pets.

Livestock pet experience

Having grown up as a horse lover I have gained experience with them in every facet. I've worked in the horse industry and also own my own horse.

I know how to do general health checks on equines, how to treat basic medical needs (that doesn't need a vet). I am able to hold for a farrier or a vet, I'm able to keep the barn/property clean and I'm able to follow detailed feed instructions.

Other livestock I have delt with include goats, sheep and donkeys but they are on a smaller scale of knowledge than that of horses.

Exotic pet experience

I adore snakes and other reptiles and have been known to be the first person in a group to put their hand up to have a snake put around my neck at expos.

Although I've never owned an exotic pet I've had experience handling and caring for them through friends that have owned them. Most notably a 3ft long children's python. I have also learnt how to handle and care for a bearded dragon and how to maintain optimal comfort and safely with heating apparatus. Other more exotic pets in my repertoire are rats, mice, fish, turtles and rabbits.
