About Aleisha
Hello, My name is Aleisha
I am an 18 year old university student, studying paramedics alongside working as a mentor in disability. My favourite things to do are going to the beach, travel and hang out with my friends. As my university course suggests, I love to help people and work within different communities, there's something about it that draws my attention so easily. In doing so, I signed myself up to volunteer in a day hospice in my local hospital where I get to share my creative side with the elderly, whilst providing mobility and emotional support for them. All throughout my life I have always grown up around animals and have grown such a love for them all. In the last year, I have been given the opportunity to interact with many different animals, specifically in the hospital like lambs and special needs dogs. In my home, I have a small dog, her name is Molly and honestly she is my best friend.
As a university student I spend a lot of time sitting and working on my laptop, so I am always looking for new ways to be active, this involves gym sessions, hikes and yoga, however, walking my dog is my favourite way to do so. I really enjoy taking her to dog parks and areas where she is allowed to be off the lead, so that she can follow her natural senses in exploring.
I would love to be a dog sitter as it gives me the opportunity to meet many new fur friends, gain new experiences and also allows me to save up for my future travel plans. From my previous and current job roles I believe pet sitting is a good fit for me as it requires great level of responsibility which I have definitely experienced, specifically as I hold a duty of care within the day hospice with clients but also with working in disability with my clients. I understand very well what it takes to hold responsibilities on the behalf of another person and am not willing to let anyone down.
