Hi, I'm Maureen, I have owned, loved and cared for various pets in my life, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs and mice.

At present, I have still have one beautiful furbaby cat named Brer with me at home. I am not in a position to adopt any more animals myself, however, I thought that perhaps my love of animals could be beneficial to other people, who need to go away for holidays or for work committments etc, and want to leave their pets at home to be cared for in their own environment. Hence, I decided to join Pawshake!

I have worked in Aged Care for the last decade, and while I have enjoyed my time caring for the elderly and sometimes their pets also, I wanted to bring those skills, caring and compassion to my own business where I can match it with my love of animals.

I know how it feels to travel away from home and be concerned about my pets. Knowing that they are safe and are being cared for in their own environment, that someone is around making sure they are well and fed is very important. I have minded dogs and cats for relatives, friends and neighbours when they were away over the last 20+ years and I would be very happy to look after your furbaby for you also :)

I live on the Central Coast NSW, and I'm looking to work in my local area. I have a current Police Check from recent employment dated July 2021, which I can provide if needed. 

During my visits, I would be happy to shop for pet food and other pet supplies if necessary, as part of your pet's care. I can give your pet a brush, as well as cuddles and play time. I will feed your pets and check they have fresh water and are calm, happy and safe. I am happy to clean litter trays and replenish litter, clean & tidy up any used food bowls and ensure kitchen bins are emptied so as to remove smells and keep pests away. I can also bring your mail in and put your council bins out if necessary. 

In another previous role as a house cleaner, where I operated my own business for around 10 years, I was trusted by my clients with their keys for regular visits to their homes. They often recommended me to other people, as they knew I was trustworthy, mature and able to care for their homes (and also again, their pets) while they were not at home. I pride myself in a job well done and treating other people, their homes and their pets, the way I do my own.

I can do one-off or regular day-time visits with your pet, in your home, around certain areas on the Central Coast. I will visit your pets and take care of their food, water, litter trays, bedding, play and spend quality time with them, as you require.

At this stage, I am unable to take your pets into my home or stay overnight with your pet.

Currently I am available day time hours every day.
