About Joanne
Growing up in country South Australia, I developed a love of being in nature. When I am in nature, I feel so good and look for opportunities to be out there!
I also experienced the incredible bond we can develop with animals - that was me as a child with horses. Now living in the city, I have become a dog person. When my friends have gone away on holidays, I looked after their dogs at my home. I absolutely enjoyed having a dog in my own home, as did my family.
During long service leave in 2023, we fostered a very excitable (jumping and mouthy) 14 month old stray from the pound called Kobe. We kept this energetic dog - he is now our most loving family dog. Through attending dog obedience training (one-to-one and group training), Kobe has become less reactive. I have learnt many useful skills in training that may be helpful to walk other dogs.
I live in Magill and I love visiting the many beautiful nature spaces close by, such as Beaumont Circuit (Beaumont), Michael Perry Botanic Reserve/2nd Creek (Stonyfell), The Gums/3rd Creek (Magill), Morialta, Wadmore Park (Athelstone), Linear Park and Victoria Park, all less than 14 minutes drive from where I live.
I am offering to walk your dog in nature. Walks are a minimum of 30 minutes but I am very happy to walk your dog for a longer period of time. I am happy to take your dog for a sniffy walk or a run (up to 5km), if they would enjoy that. You might also like your dog to go for a mixed run and walk. We can discuss your dog's preferences.
Note: I have a National Police Certificate
