Good Day Mates! My name is Matty and I have recently relocated to Adelaide from Canada! My husband Nicolas has been studying at Flinders Univeristy Med School since March 2023.  Back in Canada we were the proud owners of our daughters Maisy, and Josie. Maisy is a domestic american tabby and Josie is our sweet cuddle angel and is a Short Hair Exotic. They are both continuing to enjoy life in Canada due to the strict import rules here as much as we had hoped to bring them with us. Since relocating I thought that dog walking / house sitting would be a step in the right direction for me. I used to work in Banking however have had a passion for animals ever since I was a wee one. I am now in hopes to move into the animal field, whether working at a pet store or potentially in a vet clinic. Me and my husband are both very caring individuals and have experience taking care of dogs and cats as well as a few other felines. Take a look through our photos I included ; we have my sisters dog ( Donnie a maltipoo) and Nicolas' classmates dog Bear ( who is a pomeranean) on top of taking care of our friends dogs over the years. We have also house sat for our breeder friends who have at least 7 cats at any given time and their two beutiful pups Cheddar and Jersey ( corgie and bull mastiff) Lastly we cannot forget the senior in our lives which is Nicolas' dog Tuti ( yorkie) who resides with his family in Colombia. As you can see we are avid animal people and want to ensure the animals are well cared for whether on a walk or whether you are away and they need the support and love while they await your return home.

*** Note we do not currently have any pets here in Australia due to import rules, as well as the place we are renting is not pet friendly, however we are scheduled to house sit Bear ( pom pictured) while our friends are in Bali for a week in April!


I am currently doing a double degree in animal science and animal behaviour and have loved animals my whole life. I grew up having many pets in my home back in Singapore. In my lifetime I've had fish, terrapins, rabbits, hamsters, fancy rats and now have a 14 year old maltipoo. I've also worked and volunteered at Mandai Wildlife Reserve for many years and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Singapore for 1 year and 4 months. 
At the SPCA I was in charge of the adoption gallery area which is the area right before the animals go to their forever homes. At the SPCA, I took care of hamsters, gerbils, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, cats and dogs. My daily routine was to clean the animals cages in the morning, prepare their meals each day, provide them with enrichment via toys, walks, exercise time and interactions with other dogs or cats. I was also very heavily involved in doing adoptions for the animals and had to handle the animals for the potential adopters to interact with, which sadly included aggressive and traumatised animals.

Hi! My name is Cynthia, I am a graduate student currently working on weekdays and free on the weekends to commit to this job. At the moment I am living in the city,  which makes it very convenient to move around as required. Back at home, I have 2 small dogs, 1 mixed female and 1 silky terrier male, and I miss them so much, both of them were adopted. Looking after a dog here will make me feel a bit at home. I always make sure they feel comfortable with me being around them, I am caring, careful, fun, and with lots of patience to look after animals. I would enjoy this job so much that I wouldn't even feel it like a job. I have experience looking after small dogs, puppies and guide dogs. Some of the services I provide are: Dog walking, Dog sitting, Overnight stays and/or full day as required. Usually my dog walks last for 30-40 minutes or around, depending if the dog wants to spend more time outside, I make sure what is the requirements of the dogs as they are very expressive. At home, I make sure they are kept active or have enough water/food if necessary to check this. Meanwhile, I am at the owner's home, I have the habit of keeping the owner updated with what's going on at his/her place, I understand that they can be worried about their pets and I like to keep them confident enough. I am currently a 3rd year vet student, that graduated with a diploma in veterinary nursing, and worked in several veterinary clinics in Singapore before choosing to further my studies in Australia. I was responsible for the care of my adopted dog back home, which unfortunately passed away 2 years ago. I would however love to extend the same care and compassion to other pets.&nbsp;

I have been doing pet sitting in people's homes for about 7 years. These pets have been mostly cats but I have also looked after dogs, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, rats, rabbits, birds and fish.
