Hi! It's Lara here. I am a reliable and responsible petsitter who grew up having pets at home (a hamster, a guinea pig, cats and dog), and I have more than 1 year of housesitting and petsitting experience in Melbourne (can provide reviews and references from previous pet owners). 😊

I like nature and walking, hiking and green areas, and I also have experience in training my dog and spending time with many other dogs. I am used to dealing with especially fearful or shy dogs, as I have patience and they soon trust me and approach me. I feel comfortable with any type of dog and I really enjoy training them and spending time with them. 

DOG WALKS: I am used to being firm and strict with commands when needed but I always use techniques of positive reward with animals. I am used to walking long distances and a dog would be the perfect fellow to bring with me! I think being a pet sitter is the perfect opportunity to do a job and enjoy at the same time. I am available for casual dog walks or some walks every week (including weekends), since I work mostly from home. Usually, I walk dogs once a day, for 1 to 2 hours, but walking time can be discussed according to each dog needs. I can provide some training (ex. reinforcing commands or learning new commands).

PET SITTING AT THE OWNER'S PLACE OR DAY VISITS: I offer pet sitting (night stay) at the owner's place or day visits. I have experience providing oral medication to dogs and cats so I'm happy to do this if needed. As I work from home most of the time I am able to spend time with your pets, so they wouldn't be left alone for long. As for day visits, I can come between 30 min to 1h depending on the needs required and price can be adjusted if you need me to stay longer.
