Hi there, 

I love animals and providing a dog walking, pet visiting and pet sitting (at your home) service. This kind of work is a great way to meet new animals and people, as well as get exercise and, yes, make some extra income.

Please note: as of 16 May 2024 I will be housesitting in Brisbane and Miami (Gold Coast). I will be available for dog walking and pet visiting in the following areas and dates, while getting around on foot and public transport (we're trying life without a car):

• Miami (Gold Coast) and surrounding suburbs: 21 July to 9 October

My locations from 9 October are not yet fixed, but I am potentially available for dog walking and pet visiting, depending on your location.

Along with my partner, Carmela, I will also be available for pet/housesitting from that date until approximately 15 December.

From 24 January 2025 we will be living in our own place in South Brisbane and I will be available for dog walking and pet visiting in that area (including West End and Highgate Hill). 

What is specifically included in my services?

Dog walking (Monday through Friday)

For dog walking, I will walk up to two dogs (from the same household) at one time, for at least 30 minutes. Ideally, I'd like to meet you and your dogs before I start, to get a beat on their specific needs, fears and behaviours, whether they should be kept on-lead or be allowed to have off-lead walks, and the like.

I would walk your dogs in the local area. After returning them home, I could feed them if required; I can also give medication, with your initial guidance.

Pet visiting (Monday through Friday)

For pet visiting, I would visit for 20 minutes, feeding your pets and giving them company and affection; I can also give medication, with your initial guidance.

Within reason, it doesn't matter what type or how many pets you have, I can take care of them for my indicated fee.

I am certainly open to negotiation with you about your needs.

Pet and house sitting (including weekends)

My partner would be with me for this. Carmela and I have been full-time house and pet sitters for over two years. We work from home generally so would be there, at your house, for your pets quite a bit. You can find our reviews on Aussie House Sitters, Happy House Sitters and Trusted House Sitters. About me

In a former life, I was a university academic tutor and professional staff member. Now, I have much more freedom and enjoy making income doing different things (like managing our AirBnB property and an online nutritionist practice with my partner). 

I have experience with pets large and small, like German Shepherds, kelpies, ponies, ragdoll cats, golden retrievers, dachshunds, pets with special medical needs, goats, rabbits ... even five emus and an ostentation of peacocks!
