In my previous life I was High School Teacher (Double Degree; BA,B.Ed English & History) for 25 years. I live with my husband and teenage son.

I loved owning two beautiful, fluffy and pampered Bichon Frise. Sadly, they passed away at the age of 15 and 16 years. Since our loss, instead of owning another doggy, I decided to become professional full-time Pawshake sitter as a way of extending my love to other people's fur-babies. Whats more, once I made the decision to embark on a full-time career in dog sitting, I have been working towards my Certificate in Dog Psychology, Behaviour & Training.

What I discovered, when we first owned dogs, was how difficult it was to find sitters who didn't mind our doggies living inside their home. Based on my own personal experience I understand how hard it is to leave your beloved pooch in a kennel or asking your friends or family yet again to help out. Hence, I wanted to become a full-time sitter to woofs who are very much pampered and need to live inside our home during the day AND night.

As a professional full-time dog sitter I am able to devote ALL my time and energy to care for other people's poppets with lots of love and cuddles, endless games of fetch outside and special non-stop pampered attention. As a full time sitter, I consistently have three to four doggies each day, so it's important that your doggo is very social and friendly with a variety of small to medium sized breeds and of course humans. However, feel confident knowing that I NEVER leave them unsupervised or alone on their own. Moreover, because I know dogs love routine, I always endeavour to make sure your pooch always feels safe, secure and content. 

Our Queenslander home, of over ten years, has a beautiful, large, fully fenced yard with plenty of space that is pooch proof, so they can safely roam freely. The back deck is extremely spacious, with lots of room to lounge around on couches and rugs. It also has a ramp that leads to the beautiful garden, great for elderly woofs with wobbly legs. We maintain our luxurious, green lawn all year round with organic, dog friendly fertilisers thus, no muddy slosh pits at our home. Furthermore, we have a separate fenced, salt water pool area, if they like to have a swim on hot days. If your fur-baby doesn't like to swim, on those really humid Queensland days, be rest assured that the air conditioner will be running so your pooch can comfortably relax and sleep. Likewise, on cold winter nights the ducted air conditioner will be kept on to make sure your beloved bear is warm and snug.

I can guarantee you that my home offers a safe and loving place for your pampered pooch whilst you are away; daily, short term or long term pet sitting options available. I also offer daily Doggy Daycare and have a Police Check tick of approval. House trained pooches is a must. This guarantees that ALL my doggies, in my care, get to experience a luxurious holiday all year round. Lastly, NO FENCE JUMPERS or doggies (large) over 18kg will be accepted.

Please note: All dogs MUST wear an everyday collar with their ID name and phone number attached, NOT just attached to a harness.

Furthermore, with each beloved woof I look after I attach an Apple AirTag to their collar. Apple airtag®: using bluetooth technology, apple airtag® pings your roaming Labrador, wandering Poodle or curious Cocker Spaniel's location to my iPhone. Preserving both peace of mind and your pet’s safety.

PAWSHAKE POLICY

*Doggy Day Care hours (10 Hours) = Earliest 6:30am drop off and no later than 5pm pick up. Otherwise, anything after 5pm constitutes as a Doggy Boarding fee.

*Doggy Boarding hours (24 Hour period) = A 9am drop off means a 9am pick up the next day. Otherwise, a doggy daycare fee also applies for a late pickup.
