Hi there! My name is Jessika and I've been pet sitting through word of mouth, other sites and more for over 2 years now, as well as growing up surrounded by my own cats. Since moving out of home i've really missed the company of animals since I can't adopt a pet of my own at the moment. It often feels like something's missing when i'm in a home without a single companion running around my feet. Pet sitting brings me a lot of joy whilst also letting me take care of myself and pursue creative hobbies (not messy ones though so don't worry about your carpet!).

I've looked after pets such as tree frogs, small parrots, adorable rats, all sorts of cats and dogs and even larger breeds like catahoulas, newfoundlands and great danes. I have a soft spot for greyhounds and would consider myself very familiar and comfortable interacting with resucues who may be timid, reactive, experience separation anxiety and more. I've happily looked after pets that required daily tablets or creams, also eye drops. I am NOT able to do any sort of injectable medication, but otherwise able to accomodate and look after many other special needs your pet may have. I have experience working with a handful of highly reactive dogs who go full growling, barking and lunging and know generally how to handle them. If your dog is reactive like this, I would recommend we schedule a practice walk to see if I am physically capable of handling them to ensure both our safety's.

I'm a non smoker, non drinker and very much a homebody, so my day at your home would mostly look like me on a couch or in a study, pets curled up nearby or next to me while quietly working on a project. I only have a handful of friends over with your explicit permission, and again the loudest we would be is during a card game and I always keep the home in good shape of course.

Please note, due to health issues I am unable to walk your dog for more than half an hour once day, so if they do need more exercise, I would recommend finding a different sitter better suited for you pup's needs (as sad as it is I won't get to meet them).
