Hi there, my name is Luci, and I’m the founder of Canine Culture, a well known and reputable Canine Day School servicing the local Canberra community and its surrounds. Alongside this I offer a boarding service with my partner, Josh, on our beautiful farm in Carwoola ( 15mins from Queanbeyan) that focuses entirely on a strong relationship with each individual dog. We take such joy and so much pride in our "family" of canines at Canine Culture developing long term relationships with their owners who know their dogs are truly taken care of with such a high level of proffessionalism, drawing on our years of knowledge and expertise. Knowing their canines are always safe and in the best care many of our dogs are with us within our services for many years to come.
About Me:
From a young age I was surrounded by all sorts of pets, but my deep connection with dogs has played the most significant role in my life. Stepping straight out of school and into the animal industry with a position in a vet clinic was a natural progression for me. During this time, I started to explore my interest in dog behaviour and training by attending seminars and workshops and it was not long before I realized this is where my true passion lay. I was so lucky to be able to get a position as a dog handler with an amazing local Canberra business. Not only could I be covered in dog hair, slob and constantly smelling of dog treats but I was given many great opportunities and invaluable experience. My personal and professional growth during my many years as a part of that team was quite significant before I stepped away to start some other new adventures.
Making the decision to start, grow and develop Canine Culture came after quite a dramatic event in my life.
In 2017 I had my beautiful son Archer, who was the happiest little boy you probably could have ever known. During my time with Archer my dogs Meeko, Zephyr, and the new addition of Nova, were there as my support crew as they always are during changes as I’ve transitioned from one chapter of my life to the next. Always deepening my respect and admiration for them and canines in general. In 2018, at only 16 months of age Archer passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Again, my dogs were there for me during the most challenging times of my life as I navigated "a new world" moving forward without him physically here with us.
All my dogs at that time, and those that have joined the pack since, have been playing a massive role in my ongoing healing and have always given me the fuel needed to further my development as a proffesional dog trainer and handler in the industry, which has been very successful.
Archer taught me so much about life, and he continues to teach me every day about living a life of purpose. Life is short, but it gives us plenty of time to do all that we want to do. To give meaning to life, follow direction to goodness and follow your passions. One of my biggest passions is working with our canines in a way that focuses on the relationships that we share with them. All our relationships, including those with our dogs are gifts - the gift of what each relationship can teach us.

We were absolutely over the moon when we came across Luci. We were so comfortable leaving our pup with Luci. The home is so well set up for dogs!! Luci was amazing showing us around and communicating what she would be doing with our pup throughout his five night stay. The property was perfect, our dog was super happy during his time there. Luci often texted photos to us throughout his stay. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Luci!! Thank you sooooooo much Luci xx
Luci was great and our pup Sonic had a great time. He’s always a bundle of energy and they handled that really well. Luci also sent us lovely photos of him having fun out on a walk.
