Hello. I specialise in taking care of cats. I am experienced with rabbits and fish too. I am also
able to look after dogs that don’t need a whole lot of discipline.

I prefer bookings that last no more than 5 days.

Cats

Pet cats have played a very important role throughout my life and this is where I get most of my experience with cats. I recently said goodbye to my dear 18.5 year old boy who had a lot of special needs in the end. I have worked at a veterinary hospital for 2 years too and volunteered at a fox rescue. Currently I have two cats. 

Through thise xperience I am well versed in: 

- Issuing of oral, dermal and injectable medicines including for arthritis, pain and anxiety. Also issuing transdermal fluid of up to 100 mL at a time for hydration of cats with kids disease,

- Importance of specific feeding requirements including prescription foods, BARF/raw foods
and operation of SureFeeders, 

- Play/enrichment, especially with a string teaser, 

- Socialising with a cat how they like..some cats like a scratch on the face, some on body, some like to be left alone and some like to play…I am good at reading cat body language and catering to your cats specific social needs, 

- Handling a cat with arthritis,

- Importance of keeping some pets separated from others through closing doors and isolating certain parts of the house, 

- Getting a cat into a carry case when needed, even if they are being aggressive, 

- How to clip a cat’s claws if needed (although I prefer not to). 

Rabbits

Although I do not have rabbits anymore, I had rabbits for over 10 years, one, Ted Bunny, who ended
up having special needs. I know: 

- How to administer oral and injectable medications to a rabbit, 

- The importance of a rabbits dietary needs especially in relation to tooth health, 

- How to hold and carry a rabbit,

- How to clip a rabbits claws, 

- Where a rabbit likes to be scratched on the nose, and 

- How to read rabbit behaviour (is your rabbit happy, angry, scared or curious etc). 

Fish

At one point I had twelve fish tanks but I have managed to cut it down to one and a pond. I can perform:

- Feeding,

- Water changes including water testing (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, TDS), operation of reverse osmosis kits and adding extra salts/minerals/chemicals as needed,

- Medicating fish.

Dogs

Not going to lie. I don’t have much experience with dogs, but I am capable of looking
after a dog with: 

- Following feeding instructions, 

- Cleaning up after your dog, 

- Walking your dog, and 

- Giving some TLC. 

That’s just about everything I can think of to say! I am looking to do home visits within a
3 km radius of Footscray to take care of your pets needs. Here is a bit of a service description:

- Each cat or rabbit home visit will include 30 minutes feeding, cleaning, patting, playing with and medicating (if necissary) your cat/s. Talk to me about if you'd like me to spend longer than 30 minutes with your pet/s.

- Each dog home visit will include the above PLUS an approximately 30 minute walk. Talk to me about if you'd like me to spend longer than 1 hour with your dog.
