About Eliz
Hi there! Thanks for dropping by. My name is Eliz and I have always loved animals since I was a child, and have formed many connections with these beautiful souls. Pets have always been a comfort for me and helped me get by in this challenging world. My first pets were a turtle and rooster at age 5. When I was 10 years old, I adopted a beautiful, spirited horse and when I was 14 years old, I adopted my first cat, who was also spirited. They were my healers growing up. I've also had dogs, bunnies and fish.
Animals have been a big part of my life and I can connect easily with them. I love all animals. They deserve only the best care and love and in turn give us unconditional love.
Animals can teach us so much about ourselves, such as empathy and patience. I believe it is our duty as humans to be good to all creatures and treat them kindly and gently.
My two beautiful cats (litter sisters) mean the world to me. We've been together now for more than 11 years!! They live a holistic lifestyle, eating a raw meat diet; as Nature intended. They also enjoy some pumpkin and spirulina! I take them to a holistic vet and give them homeopathics and herbal treatments. I am happy to share the details of my holistic vet, pet naturopath or direct you to information on diets etc., if anybody is interested in pursuing holistic pet care with your own furbabies.
At this stage I am sitting mainly cats + dogs, as well as rabbits or other small animals. Some people have a fish pond, and I'm happy to give the fish some food each day that I visit. I will come to your home and take care of your pets as if they were my own; with love and kindness. You can be assured that your pets will be tended to with the highest care whilst you are away from home. I am happy to also water your plants for you whilst taking care of your pets. Just let me know what you need done.
I will spend half an hour with your cat when I visit. I will clean and refresh the litter box, change the water, clean the bowls and give your cat/s some food to eat, as per your directions. If your cat has long hair, I can give him/her a groom, if you would like me to. I can give oral medications, put eye drops in, give injections, if required. Please speak with me about how your pet goes with administering medication.
I will spend 30 mins with your dog, giving him pats, cuddles, a massage, or take him/her for a 30 minute walk. I will feed him, change his water and give him a groom, if requried. If you have a decent sized backyard, I can throw a ball to your dog and play some off-leash games! If we walk around the block, your dog will remain on the leash.
If I am seeing your bunny, I will tidy his/ her cage as required, give food and change the water. I like to bring some veggies, as well. If you can have some fruit/ veggies ready for me in the fridge, I can give that, or I am happy to bring some veggies from our own garden, such as yummy celery, or carrots and apples from the organic shop. I love watching bunnies munching on fresh veggies. They are so adorable!
I can come to visit your pet either mid-late morning or afternoon. Pets who require 2 visits per day will be seen mid-late morning and late afternoon/early evening, as required. I can see up to 2 pets per visit, in order to have enough time to spend with each animal. Do you have more than 2 pets? Let's negotiate a price per visit.
I recommend doing a meet-and-greet with your pet/s so I can get to know a little about them, too, and to make sure that we are a good fit, to give you peace of mind when you are away.
If you are thinking about my services, then feel free to contact me and ask any questions which you may have.
Thank you.
