Previous Experience

My lifelong affinity for animals began at a young age, growing up in a home filled with the joyful presence of our family springer spaniels. This early exposure fostered a deep-rooted connection to the animal kingdom, and my passion only grew stronger as I spent countless summer holidays working on a local cattle and game farm. During my time there, I had the invaluable opportunity to interact with and care for a diverse range of creatures, from the gentle giants of the bovine world to the spirited and playful game animals.

These experiences have equipped me with a unique blend of skills and qualities that make me an ideal candidate for dog sitting. My patience, kindness, and hardworking nature allow me to build trust and rapport with animals of all breeds and temperaments. I possess a keen understanding of their needs and behaviors, enabling me to provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment.

As a former teacher in the UK, I’ve always had a strong desire to nurture and support the growth of others. While I value my experiences in education, I’m seeking a new chapter that allows me to combine my love for animals with my passion for caring for others. Dog sitting presents the perfect opportunity to do just that.

I’m confident in my ability to provide a high-quality dog-sitting service that exceeds the expectations of both owners and their furry companions. My commitment to animal welfare, combined with my positive and energetic personality, ensures that every dog in my care will receive the love, attention, and exercise they deserve.

Job Specific Details

I am available Monday-Friday, Morning, Afternoon and Evening for Dog walking, Home Check-ins and Home Stays. I can do weekends, however I am not free all the time at Weekends, and therefore would need to be a specific conversation. I have access to a vehicle and so can do multiple visits and walks in a day. Whilst working with your pet, I will be focusing on them the entire time and duration of the visit. I am happy to cater the experience to your desires and expectations, whether that be walking at locations known to you, or fulfilling different pet related requests, to make the experience smoother for all parties involved, most especially your pet. 

During home visits, I am happy to stay as long as required with your pet, playing with them, making sure they are happy and have access to the food and water you have requested. If requested I am able to complete some domestic jobs, watering plants, bringing in mail etc. 

I am comfortable and competent at grooming your pets as per your instruction, if desired. Having grown up with spaniels who love mud above all other things, I am well experienced and adept at grooming pets.

When walking your furry companions, I will check with you what their walking pattern is, and where possible try to match this, unless instructed otherwise. I live close to Kings Park in Central Perth and I am very familiar with the various walks here, however if you have another park that you would prefer I am happy to walk there. Walks vary in length depending on your request for your pet. 

During Pet Sitting, I will stay as long as requested with your Pet, and would go through security measurements and expectations before agreeing to the job. I am happy to bring my own sleeping facilities (Airbed etc) and provide my own refreshments. Your home will be in exactly the same condition that you left it in unless instructed otherwise. 

About Me

I am a 27 Year old Man, originally from London, England, with a love of animals. I am relatively new to Perth, having arrived in August, however I have already fallen in love with the city. I am currently unemployed but previously worked as a teacher in the UK. As much as I loved teaching, I am ready for a new job, preferably one that involves getting outside more often. 

I live in West Perth at the moment, very close to Kings Park, where I regularly go for my daily walks, seeing as much of the park as possible. When I am not out walking in Kings Park, I enjoy reading, cooking, swimming and Hiking. 

I have grown up with dogs, all spaniels, and would often be found hiking around the english countryside, with Muddy spaniels at my side. Being energetic and excitable dogs, there was always a surprise around the corner with my dogs, and I am very used to thinking on my feet when it comes to petcare.
