ABOUT ME AND MY CREW:

Hi all, my name is Matt, an animal lover with 3 furboys of my own. Now I am a full time pet carer and will be working to become a dog trainer in the not too distant future. Living with 2 border collies I know how to keep them enriched with games and of course exercise.

I have had the pleasure of fostering a number of rescue dogs with Precious Paws over the last few years, so my boys and I have all had a range of experience with different guests of differing sizes, breeds and temperaments. I do plan to take on fosters again in the future but until then I will be offering my services as a Pet carer.

I attend the sunshine coast dog obedience club once a week with my Border collie Bear where we do various activities including obedience and scentwork working our way up to trialing, especially in scentwork. At this stage I am still a learner but an added bonus if you book me is that I will be happy to give your pets a little on the side positive training while they are on their stay! I have had great success training various behavioual issues out of my foster dogs and have worked with other fearful and anxious dogs with good success.

MY HOUSE:

I have a fully fenced and quite secure yard with enough space to entertain 2 border collies easily, not huge but not tiny.

I have also constructed an extra secure gated area up one side of my house that I needed for one of my more challenging foster boys. I leave it open but it can be used if needed if you have an escape artist!

My house is tiled in the main areas and all my pets have free range of the house and yard during the day and when I am home. At night I usually keep everyone inside as I don't let my cat out of a night time. I can have my cat in a seperate area if your pooch needs 24/7 access to the outside for more frequent toileting.

My neighbours are all dog friendly and/or have dogs themselves, but if you have a problem barker we will need to talk before I take them on as it is a very quiet neighbourhood. Some woofing is allowed of course!

SERVICES:

Dog boarding - I do at least 2 active things a day every morning and afternoon, most often a trip to the beach and a walk in the local area as well as ball games and hide and seek with treats etc. *All dogs will be kept on harness and lead when out and about until I know them and their capabilities when outside.

Dog walking - Walk is a guaranteed 30 minutes in the local area with more/varied activities available upon request. Includes water bowl fills, yard clean up etc. Can water plants and other duties etc.

Home Visits - Basic price includes 30 minutes of feeding, filling of water bowls, yard cleanup, playtime and a walk. Can do longer and multiple visits as required. Happy to water plants, feed fishes, move guinea pigs cages etc etc.
