Hey there! I am Xavy (38) and I am doing house sitting and dog / cat minding on a regular base together with my husband Esteban (36). We do this since 8 years and there have been months we have barely seen our own home :-)

I am from the Netherlands and Esteban is from Argentina; we got married on the Sunshine coast and we live in Wurtulla. We chose to live here on the Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore area, because I feel this is a very good place with lovely people and very beautiful nature.We are both very responsable people who love nature and animals and we really enjoy to play with them and take care of them. Your pet will be in good hands with us :-) We use pawshake to become more in contact with animals and it is awesome to share some more walks and cuddles here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with a happy pet and play with them. I used to have a cat, a dog and two ferrets in my house (my lovely parents are minding them now in the Netherlands) so I'm very keen in taking care of animals. Here on the Sunshine Coast we usually are dogminding at the owners' houses so the dogs don't have to leave their home, which is much better for them. Not only do we know what their behavior is like in their own environment and where they like to sleep, etc., we have also noticed they feel much happier and less stressed, because they miss their owners sometimes and taking them away from their known area is causing more stress, which is really unnecessary and something we like to prevent. Nothing is better to not having to worry about your dog while you are away! And for us humans it is also good to have a break of daily life and experience how other people live. That feels like a mini holiday for us :-) We love to make nice trips with the dog for example to Mooloolaba beach, Ewen Maddock Park, sometimes we go fishing (we then built a shelter for the dog so he doesnt get sunburned), and we can take your dogs to the dog park. Or if you want the dog to be walked in a different way we can adapt to that, ofcourse. We are also happy to stay at your home most of the time, if your pet likes that more. We will send you some photo updates through the pawshake app. The other good thing about housesitting is that we can water your plants and take in the mail while you are away. No extra charge and you don't have to rely on your neighbours. If you have a dog that only needs some care during the day, I can't take the dog to my house unfortunately. I can take him or her for a good walk around during the day in stead. We are quite flexible timewise. Feel free to contact me as well about other pets, such as cats, reptiles, turtles, guinea pigs, domestic rats, etc. If you want we can even take your cat out for a walk if you have a little cat leash ;-) When you make an inquiry please tell me what your dogs needs are and where you live.
