About Me

Hi, I’m Nicole – a lifelong animal lover who’s happiest when I’m around furry (or feathered!) friends.

My love for animals started when I was young, and it’s been a big part of my life ever since. I genuinely feel like my most authentic self when I’m with animals – they make me feel calm, happy, and grounded.

I specialise in cat care (they truly have my heart!), but I’ve also looked after dogs, guinea pigs, birds, and rabbits. I understand that some pets – especially cats – can be shy or anxious, and I always respect their boundaries. I’ll softly call out so they can get used to my voice, quietly take care of their food, water, and litter, then leave them to relax in peace. No pressure, no stress – just gentle care and respect for their space.

For the lovebugs, I’m more than happy to stick around a little longer. I’ll sit with them, give them pats and affection, and play with them if there are toys around. Every pet is different, and I’ll always tailor my visits to suit their personality. 

Availability

I work full-time Monday to Friday (9am–5pm), so I’m available for morning visits between 6am–8am and again in the evenings after work.

I’m also available most weekends, so if you’re heading away for a few days, I’ve got you covered.

I do also sometimes go away for work or may have the occasional trip, but i make sure that i update my calender to reflect this. 

Extra Care

Along with pet care, I’m happy to help with a few extras while you’re away – watering plants, collecting the mail, and making sure everything is clean and tidy. I like to leave things the way I’d want to come home to, so if there’s a broom or vacuum handy, I’ll gladly give the area a quick tidy-up before I go.

How It Works

Meet & Greet

Before any booking, I always like to arrange a quick meet and greet – just a casual visit so we can meet in person and I can get to know your pets. It’s a great opportunity to go over routines and make sure we’re all comfortable before the booking begins.

I never charge for a meet and greet – it’s completely free and simply part of making sure I’m the right fit for your pets.

Booking

Once you're happy to go ahead, you’ll book your dates through Pawshake and I’ll confirm. Payment is securely handled by the app and only released after the job is complete.

Pricing

Here’s a quick breakdown of my rates:

House Visit

Includes feeding, fresh water, litter change, cuddles or quiet company – whatever your pet prefers.
$35.00 per visit

Morning & Evening Visits

For pets who need a little extra attention and care throughout the day.
$70.00 per day (includes two visits)

Dog Walks

45-minute walk
$40.00 per walk
+ $15.00 for an additional dog 

For house visits, I have one flat rate – so whether you have one pet or five, the price stays the same (unless, of course, you have a whole farm! 🐄🐔). 

A Note on Cost

I understand that the cost of living is a huge stress for many people right now, and I do my best to keep my rates affordable. If you’re struggling but need to go away and don’t have anyone to care for your pets, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to chat and see what we can work out – your pets’ wellbeing matters most.
