About Danielle
From the moment I was born, I was surrounded by pets; dogs, cats and birds, many of whom lived until their late teens/early 20s. Following the loss of my mum and a year later, my 17 year old ginger cat, I went 6 months without a fur baby for the first time in my life! Enter my gorgeous, crazy Siamese/Tabby cross, Moofty (who is a rescue); we will celebrate 10 years together in December.
I'm the type of person who will approach a dog or cat along my walks for some pats and a chat (with permission, of course); I'm always seen greeting the Magpies.
Over the years, I have sat a number of my friends' and family's pets and assisted my friend with some of her sits. My most challenging was 5 gorgeous Cocker Spaniel puppies (7 weeks old at the time), who all had extremely upset tummies. I have supported dogs and cats of all ages, from puppies/kittens to teens and senior animals at the end of their lives; even my friend's dog who was temporarily paralysed from the neck down who needed to be carried out to toilet and personal care attended to.
Currently, I am not working, so my time is quite flexible, meaning mornings, afternoons and evenings are not a problem. Unfortunately, I live in a very small apartment, so I am unable to provide dog boarding or doggy day care at my home. In terms of the services I can offer, I am able to administer non-injectable medications (i.e. oral medications and eye drops). I am happy to support your loved one in their home, secure in their own environment where I can also look after any plants and collect mail, following any security methods you have in place. Home visits are also an option, tending to your fur baby's needs while showering them with love, cuddles and companionship (between 1-2 hours a day which can be split). As I don't drive, dog walking would take place in your local area, including parks for at least half an hour or more, twice a day if required. If there are any grooming or training routines in place, I am more than happy to continue these in your absence, following written instructions.
I know how difficult it can be to leave your animals when you go travelling or if there is a sudden change of circumstance, the feelings of guilt can be overwhelming, but I would like to assure you that I will treat your loved ones as if they were my own, providing a loving and secure space for them surrounded by memories and scents of you while you are away.
Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies.
