My teenage sons and I live in Mitchelton in a 3 bedroom, fully fenced house with our Cavoodle "Jaffa". We have a grassed front garden, large, shaded backyard with pool and a covered deck with lots of comfy snoozing spots for our fur guests.

At home we have an open door policy so dogs are free to roam in and out of the house and around the garden. All our furry guests sleep inside and they are welcome to sleep on my bed with Jaffa.

We live on the Kedron Brook cycle path where we walk Jaffa and our visiting dogs. Dogs will enjoy a 45 minute walk each day along the path and around the suburb. On weekends we go to the local dog park (near Brookside shopping centre). It is one of the more popular dog parks in Brisbane and has separate areas for small/medium versus large dogs. We have established a good reputation for our dog sitting services over the last 3 and 1/2 years at this dog park through word of mouth and have many returning visitors.

We spend time with, and include our fur guests in family life - a game of yard cricket, walk to the local cafe or a cuddle on the couch. Jaffa is a most affectionate and playful little fellow if your dog loves to play, yet calm and sensitive around older or fragile dogs that need their personal space. Jaffa is neutered and has had all the appropriate vaccinations.

We would prefer small or medium sized dogs to match Jaffa’s size ideally though a calm or older large dog would be a good fit for our family. We do ask that your dog be toilet trained please and have no separation anxiety. Also that it has a secure collar and ID tag. I have experience giving liquid or tablet medication, ear and eye drops. We can do pick up and/or drop off locally if you can’t manage it. We would love to look after your fur pet while you're away and guarantee they will have a fun stay with us. Our pets add a lovely dimension to the family, so the more the merrier!

Jan. 2024 - Regarding our recent 1 star review - the dog jumped our front fence and the owners were uncontacteable for the entire length of the dog's stay despite multiple messages. My sons and I were out searching in 2 cars and on foot with the Facebook Community for hours. We no longer allow larger dogs to stay here and don't let any dogs into the front yard, they however have the run of the house and backyard.
