Hi! 👋 I'm Benita. I've been professionally pet sitting/ dog walking for 7+ years now!

I'm also an artist, paintings conservator, and house cleaner. I have quite a flexible schedule and love filling my time with other people's pets! 😻

I've always lived with animals (cats, dogs, chickens, fish, birds), have volunteered on farms, and even spent a month in Scotland helping to look after 15 Newfoundlands - so I'm pretty fearless when it comes to giant dogs that weigh more than me. On the other hand, I'm also experienced looking after tiny anxious pooches, and shy kitties.

Ultimately, I just love surrounding myself with animals of all kinds – and pet sitting is a bit of a dream job, as it enables me to do just that!

SERVICES

DOG WALKS & HOME VISITS:

My primary mode of transport is bicycle, so for home visits and dog walks, I will most likely only accept bookings that are within 5km of my house in Coburg (or wherever I may be house sitting at the time!). Because I do a lot of house sitting, it is difficult for me to commit to a regular dog walking/ pet visiting schedule. But I'm open to enquiries to discuss details further.

VISITS 🦴🐈‍⬛

Home visits are 30min to 1hr long (factoring in how long it takes me to cycle to and from your place!). Happy to hang out with pets, play, work on training, change kitty litter, feed and top up water bowls, water plants, take garbage bins in/out, collect mail etc.

WALKS 🐾

Walks range from 30min to 1hr - This can be discussed further, based on the needs of your dog(s).

HOUSE & PET SITTING 🏠🐕🐈

I only accept house sits that are less than a 30min cycle from my home in Coburg. I also prefer longer stays (3 nights +), but happy to help out with short notice enquiries, if you're close by. I'm quite the homebody, so generally will spend the majority of my time hanging out with your pet(s) in your home. My fee includes an hour of exercise/ walk(s) - if your dog requires more than one hour of exercise, I will ask you to please book additional walks. Happy to take garbage bins in and out, collect mail, and deal with any other bits and pieces that need attending to 😇 

* Please note, I'm a very light sleeper, so sadly cannot share a room with your pet... unless it's a fish 🐠 🤫 

GOT PLANTS? 🪴

I'm very good with plants as well as animals, so happy to water and care for plants as part of my home visits/ house sitting service.

QUESTIONS I ASK NEW CLIENTS 🙋‍♀️❓

Where does your pet sleep? Does your pet have access to outside (dog/ cat door)? How long are you comfortable leaving your pet alone for? Are there any behavioural/ training issues I should know about (e.g. doesn't get along with other animals, pulling on the lead, separation anxiety). Any special needs/ medication etc? Have you left your pet alone with a sitter before?
