About Sandy
I am a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse with thirteen years veterinary nursing experience. I completed my Certificate II in Animal Studies followed by Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and since then I have completed several short courses including fluid therapy and anaesthesia. I am no longer working as a Vet Nurse, but still have a love for animals and want to continue to work closely with them.
I moved to Perth from Sydney with my husband three years ago. I am loving the lifestyle change and laid back culture of Perth.
Many pet parents (including myself) find it quite stressful putting their pets into boarding. I am offering a less stressful alternative to putting your pets into boarding when you are away as I am happy to come to your house and do twice daily visits to feed and walk your pets. I'm also happy to do dog walking for busy professionals. I'm currently on 12 months' maternity leave, so I'm available any time.
I am confident giving all medications including injections, so I am able to give insulin and take blood glucose level measurements if needed.
Unfortunately, I can't look after your pets in my home as I am the proud owner of a white domestic shorthair cat named Jasmine, and she wouldn't appreciate it! I would love to own a dog some day and I'm hoping my move to Perth has made it easier to afford to buy a house to make that dream a reality!
