About Kirsty
About me
I am twenty six years old and I have grown up with family dogs all my life (all toy poodles, I have an absolute weakness for anything with a poodle in it!).
Location
I have recently moved into a newly constructed home in Peterhead (Western suburbs) with my 5 year old cat Scout (aka Scoot aka Scootie Patootie aka Scootie Patoots)!
My pets
Scout is quite aloof but when she is feeling generous she lets me give her cuddles!
In 2022 I welcomed Peaches (a 3 month old cat) into my life after fostering her. She was incredibly scared but has come out of her shell and has a big personality!
Soon after welcoming Peaches into my home, I also welcomed Finnigan the Lagotto Romagnolo! Finn is a beautiful boy that is obsessed with people and loves other dogs. I will hopefully train him up to do search and rescue!
I have already been missing the two family dogs Macy and Ari! Macy is my pride and joy and one of the most intelligent dogs I've ever known and the first dog I really trained! Comparatively Ari is an absolute noodle and quite dopey but they are both incredibly loved and come and visit regularly!
Services
At this point I only offer home visits to look after your pets in your own home. I genuinely believe that some pets are better off staying at home where possible to be fed and given attention once or twice a day if they get stressed easily in unfamiliar environments.
Employment
I recently resigned as a dog trainer at ABT, I had been in this role for over 5 years (which makes me feel very old!) where I learned to handle and train plenty of different dog breeds/sizes! It was an absolutely incredible role and I still have a huge interest in dog training and am training Finn to do search and rescue! In my youth I volunteered with the Animal Welfare league with cats and dogs!
I would love the opportunity to care of your pets, whether it is in your home or in mine! They will absolutely be cared for with love and affection and you will be provided with updates because we all miss our fur babies when we're away from them!
