About me

Cats hold a special place in my heart. Ever since I was a child, I have loved their independent and sweet natures.

My last cat, Oskar, was a joy for me. I got her from a friend as an 8 week old kitten and she lived to the ripe old age of 23. She passed away in 2021 but I’m grateful I was able to love and care for her for so long.

My partner and I are planning to adopt another cat (or two) in the next year or so but we also plan to travel a lot more as well while we have the freedom.

So the meantime, I want to help others who may need help from a cat sitter like we did – and petsitting for others helps me get my regular ‘cat fix’. 😊

I have been a sitter on PawShake since October 2023.

My services summary:

I work from home as a freelance graphic designer, so I have the flexibility to either visit your cat at your home, where they are most comfortable, or have them stay with me.

• House visits:
• One Home Visit a Day: $30 per visit
• 2 x Home Visit a Day: $50 per day
• Cat Boarding: $50 per day
• Please note: use the ‘Dog Boarding’ service when booking.

You might prefer more than one daily visit or perhaps every second day will be enough. Please feel free to get in touch about your specific needs.

A combination can be arranged depending on the amount of time you’re away and your cat’s particular requirements.

Discounts:

• I offer a 10% discount for bookings of 7 days or more (excluding 20 Dec – 5 Jan).
• I will add the discount at the time of your booking confirmation.

Areas covered:

For house calls:

• I cover South Caulfield and surrounding suburbs.
• If it looks like I'm fully booked but you live close to Caulfield South please still contact me, I can often fit in an extra booking if you live close by.

Boarding:

• All suburbs – I’m happy to have cats stay with me from any suburb if you’re willing to drop them off and pick them up from my Caulfield South location.
• If you live close by I can pick-up or drop-off your pet.
• Please use the 'Dog boarding' option when booking.

Services details:

We start by having a meet and greet to get acquainted with you and your cat/s.

You can take me through your normal routine and procedures – this is often a good time to provide keys if you would like to go ahead and make a booking.

One Home Visit a Day:

45 minutes

• Wash bowls and replenish all dry food and water
• Feed the kitties their wet food as per your instructions
• Tidy and replace litter, and disposing of waste in external bins
• Play, comfort and socialise with your cats for 30 minutes
• Brush your kitty (if desired)
• Bring in mail and any delivered items
• Send an update for the day with photos to your preferred platform.
• Pick up and return of your keys

Additional services available on request:

• Administering oral and topical medications as needed
• Caring for other pets if required, e.g. birds and fish – providing fresh water, clean out and refill seed containers. Feed fish and clean fish tank filters.
• Provide supervised visits for your cat outside
• Put out garbage bins and bring empty bins in
• Water indoor and/or outdoor plants
• A quick tidy of pet areas, e.g. vacuum up fur and wipe down surfaces.

For 2 x Home Visits a day:

Morning: 30 minutes + Evening: 1 hour = 1.5 hours per day

The 2-visits-a-day service is normally requested by clients with pets who need the next level of supervision or care, so all ‘Additional services’ are included in the price at no extra cost.

Morning: (30 minutes):

• Wash bowls and replenish all food and water
• A quick clean up of the feeding area
• Wet food as per your instructions
• Tidy and replace litter, and disposing of waste
• Play, comfort and socialise with your cats for 15 minutes

Evening (1 hour):

• Bring in mail and any delivered items
• Wash bowls and replenish all food and water
• A quick clean up of the feeding area
• Wet food as per your instructions
• Tidy and replace litter, and disposing of waste
• Completely clean out, wash and sanitise litter tray (if needed)
• Play, comfort and socialise with your cats for 30-45 minutes
• Brush your kitty (if desired)
• Send regular digital updates with photos to your preferred platform
• Take out the litter waste and rubbish to the external bins

Additional services are included in the ‘2x Home Visits a Day’ price as needed:

• Caring for other pets if required, e.g. birds and fish
• Administering oral and topical medications as needed

Cat Boarding:

24 hour stay at my home: $50 per day

I offer a cat boarding service for cats to stay in my home.

Whether they are kittens and need supervision or perhaps an older cat who may need medications and monitoring, or simply if you feel your cat would be more comfortable and less lonely while you’re away with human company.

I aim to provide a home away from home, and make your cat as comfortable as possible.

• Our home is neat, clean and cat friendly.
• There is a small back garden but I would keep your cat indoors at all times for their security.
• I generally start their visit enclosed in 2 rooms for their first day as they get a feel for the house, and then open the house up for them to explore on the second day when they are more comfortable and secure.
• Currently, I don’t have any pets, so your cat would have the run of the house in a relaxed, cozy environment.
• And as I work from home, your pet would have company and supervision for most of the day.

I can supply the litter tray, bowls, scratching post, heat pads, blankets for your convenience but would also encourage you to bring anything that would make your kitty feel comfortable, such as their own bedding, toys, bowls, brushes etc.

If you live in Caulfield South or surrounding suburbs, I can pick-up/drop-off of your pet to your home if needed.
