Hi, we are a family of 3, Jacinta, Adam and our three-year-old daughter Tilly.

I operate a boutique hair salon from home while my husband works on site in different cemetary's building and restoring graves.

My passion for dogs has alwasy been a lifelong journey; After having a family dog (Ziggy, Border Collie x Labrador) from primary school age who had to be rehomed due to my parents separation during my high school years, I'd longed for another canine companion. Once moved out of home and in my own home, in 2009 I adopted my own dog, a Border Collie x Golden Retriever called Missfit or Missy for short. She became my loyal sidekick and accompanied me everywhere during my 20's and into my 30's. She was the best salon assistant I could have asked for and I loved that I was home with her all day everyday while working too.

During this time I found out I had a strong passion for dog obedience and dog physcology. We also learned that Missy had resource guarding tendencies and experienced anxiety around certain dogs and people. This awareness made me a more attentive owner, ensuring that I provided her with the approrpiate training and avoided sitautions that could exacerbate her anxiety.

While caring for Missy, we also had the pleasure of looking after my sisters Border Collie, Archie from time to time and then for a year when she was unable to care for him. I absolutely adored having both of them and took great joy in meeting their mental and physical needs each day and they were the best of friends!

Tragically Missy unexpectically passed away in 2020 at the age of 11, leaving a significant void in my life. Shortly after losing Missy, I discovered I was pregnant!

Fast forward 4 years, and we now have a lively, caring, and humorous three-year-old daughter who shares a genuine love for dogs. Since she was a really little, she has always been gentle with animals, eagerly sitting down to pet and talk to them with the guidance of myself, I am very serious on teaching children how to approach and pet dogs safely, and people often comment on how calm an gentle she is with their pets.

Given the rising cost of living, we have made the concious decision to hold off on getting another dog for the time being, I understand that bringing a dog into our lives involves significant commitment and expense. We want to wait until I am in full-time work once again and Tilly is in school, ensuring that we are financially secure enough to welcome a dog into our family and to be able to give the care to them that they would need if anything medically pops up.

In the mean time, we would love to met your furry family member which will also help us get our dog fix by helping to care for them when needed, be it daily or overnight stays. We have plenty of love to share, cuddles to give, and energy to expend through outdoor playtime with both a toddler and a dog, and know they will be in a safe home environment and rest assure, your pet will recieve ample love and attention, as I work from home most days and if they are comfortable, they can relax in the salon while I work too. I am also happy to provide photo and video updates during their stay.

Our home features a dog door for easy access to the backayrd, which is suitable for small to medium sized dogs. We are comfotable with them being indoors during the day and night, and if they like to sleep in the main bedroom too. We currently live in a two-story home with a spacious fully fenced backyard that backs onto a bush area, providing plenty of room for them to frolic and explore. All of the bedrooms are upstairs with babygates at the top and bottom of the stairs so it is secure for both your beloved dog and our toddler.

We do ask to only have enquires for dogs that are child friendly, or used to being around small children.

We have already looked after lots of family and friends dogs and can not wait to meet your furry family member!
