About Grace
Hi there!
My name is Grace and I'm new to Pawshake, not new to cat sitting and dog walking ;)
I am a pet ADORING dog walker, cat sitter and enthusiastic about giving the best care for all animals. I traveled from New Zealand to pursue my passion for Animal Welfare getting a certificate in Animal Care this year. I am 24 years old with a bachelors degree in Performing Arts. I am new to Melbourne and live an active lifestyle. I live in Flemington which is a very walkable area with lots of parks safe for dogs.
Here's what I can do for you!:
Areas: Flemington, Essendon, Ascot Vale and Newmarket.
- Dog walks
- House visits for dogs and cats.
House visits I can stay for 30 minutes to an hour. I can visit multiple times per day. Dog walks can range from 30 minutes to an hour. I can take the dogs on a regular on leash walk around the neighbour hood or to the various fields and parks in Flemington offered that are pet friendly!
I have also worked at a vets in the past which gave me a myriad of experience with animals, and I administered basic mediation to several cats and dogs at the time via pills or food. My own dogs also required medication via mouth and ears which I am comfortable doing. I am comfortable brushing and cleaning animal mess. When doing house visits I am willing to feed the animals as well as water plants or get mail. No personal information, keys or codes will be distributed.
I have lots of experience cat sitting and dog walking. I frequently care for dogs for days at a time. I am very empathetic and believe each dog is different and I love to give them the kind of walk that enriches their lives. Whether that be a long walk, a run, play time or a cheeky cuddle sesh. I have experience walking small, medium and large dogs including Border Terrier's, Maltese's, Australian Shepards, Pitbulls and setters. I am always looking to meet new breeds and sizes and expanding my knowledge and skills.
I have also got a lot of experience looking after cats here in Melbourne of all personalities and I am very respectful of every different need each kitty has.
Back home, my family dog is 11 year old Cassie! She is a large Irish Red Setter; the light of my life and truly the biggest reason saying goodbye to NZ was so difficult. My other darlings name was Willow, who left us half way through last year. She was 9 and I miss her dearly. Because of these two girls, I have a particular soft spot for elderly dogs.
I am motivated to be a dog walker and pet sitter because it is my dream to work for a cattery and doggie daycare business and groom pets, as well as giving senior dogs a new lease on life with the love and care they deserve. October of this year I begin studying for my certificate in Animal welfare to officially start my journey.
Thank you so much and I hope to help you and your pups out whenever I can!
