Hi thanks for visiting my page. My name is Penny and I am a genuine dog lover, police checked, and with extensive experience as a dog carer. 

On occasions I have had to travel without my dog and I was so grateful to have a trusted friend to care for my pup, knowing that she was safe and loved. 

 I have over 25 years experience caring for dogs. If you need a reliable and professional dog sitter don't look any further. Your precious fur baby will be loved and cared for like my own sweet girl. I am so happy to provide a niche service for the highest peace of mind for owners who adore their dogs and want only the best, safe, and happy time for their dogs whilst they are away. 

I provide small care, so there will not be large numbers of dogs that can be stressful.  If I have more than one dog in my care I carefully plan my bookings to ensure the dogs are compatible. I specialise in Oodles and small to medium breeds and understand their sensitivities. I provide a comforting daily routine for dogs so they can relax and enjoy their days with me. Many dog sitters don't include walks, but I do this as a standard, as all dogs need daily stimulation, exercise, and engagement in nature. 

 In our home the dogs we care for are treated like family with free access to lounge on the couch or beds and explore and play inside or out. 

I have owned several dog breeds from large to small (Daschund, Hungarian Sheep dog's (Puli's) , Cattle dog/Belgian shepherd, kelpie/foxie, and now a Groodle. 

I have taken them all through obedience school to ensure a lifelong bond and better communication. 

I have volunteered at the Sydney dog shelter in the past, walking dogs awaiting their new forever home and have also fostered cared dogs from there to ease their stress. I was not very good at foster caring as my standards were a little high for new prospective fur parents - e.g will you let her on your couch?... minimum 2 walks a day? 

When your pup/s stay with me they will be part of the family, enjoying cuddles, play, and two walks a day. I provide daily updates to share their day with you. I am open, transparent, and flexible. 

Your dog will have human company throughout their stay with us. One of us is always home and I wfh part of the week. Your pup will be cared for 24/7. 

I pet sit as a hobby as my family and I love caring for dogs, enjoying a variety of breeds, and my girl loves company. 

My fur girl has a pampered life,  enjoying varied adventures in nature. You can see many of our walks and adventures in my profile pictures. 

I look forward to a meet and greet with you and your pup on neutral territory (typically the Hall Showground as it is fully enclosed, & off lead, and not a dog park), and if all goes well, caring for your fur baby. 

Rest assured I will care for yours, as I do mine. There will be always myself or an immediate family member at home. I also have an Advanced first aid and mental first aid certificate. I have tertiary leadership and management, project management, training and assessment qualifications and am fully police checked. I also have a WWVP card. 

Your dog should be fully vaccinated and well for their stay. I am experienced with administering medication. 

* boarding: 

- 2 walks a full day are included. Note to make the morning walk on arrival day, a drop off or pick up by approx 7am is required (weekends are typically more flexible).  

- As per PawShakes standard policy Pet hosting for 1 night includes up to 24 hours of care. If your pups stay goes over the 24 hours please book an additional day care session.

* WALKS: Are for a minimum of 30 minutes and are typically conducted at Hall, Amaroo, or  Harrison and can be off lead in the enclosed oval or on lead through the reserves and other ovals, trails and parks. Water is regularly provided.

* Car travelling: Dogs are always secured in the car with a doggy seat belt attached to their harness (for safety, never their collar).  I also have a doggy booster seat for smaller dogs and crate if your dog prefers travelling in a crate with a mattress. 

MEET & GREETS: Are required for first time bookings. Please ensure you complete your dogs profile.

At the meet and greet feel free to chat to me about your needs and any particulars about your fur baby. 

Our Place: We have a fully fenced yard with a grassed area, concrete area, tiled area, and undercover area with outdoor couches and raised bed and mattress. Indoors we have couches, several orthopaedic dog beds, and human beds. During meal times, dogs will be fed separately and fed from raised dog feeders. We also have plenty of safe dog toys. 

MEALS: Please also chat to me about your dogs meals, treats etc  I am happy to accommodate most meals from simple dry food to other requests (hot meals, fresh bones, adding supplements or medications etc).
